Our Medical Devices business segment produces a broad range of innovative products and solutions used primarily by health care professionals in the fields of orthopedics, neurological disease, vision care, diabetes care, infection prevention, diagnostics, cardiovascular disease, and aesthetics. We are recruiting for a IT Sr. Director, Strategic Capabilities and Solutions Services Reporting into the VP IT CIO Medical Devices – EMEA, you will primary have responsibility to develop and execute an innovative global Technology Strategy and Roadmap for the EMEA business that improves J J MD position as the partner of choice and ensures IT capabilities are in place to enable commercial opportunities that drive profitable growth. . Responsibilities + Collaborate with business partners in the region to define technology strategy that maximizes business value and minimizing time to market in EMEA. Define priorities for business and associated technology investments leveraging product line organization. Ensure strong alignment with global strategy and global digital ecosystem. + Build strong external partnerships and connections with technology providers understanding external IT capabilities for healthcare. Assess suitability of external technology to meet our internal business needs and provide recommendations focusing on establishing strong scalable partnership with JLabs partners, IT strategic vendors. + Establish and lead the EMEA Technology Investment portfolio, including investment and resource plans for EMEA, including operation expenses for the region. Accountable for flawless execution by region. Align cross functional partners on common measurable goals + Understand core internal external IT products globally and regionally. new technologies and approaches to drive business value (external benchmarking). drive standardization cross by introducing standard metrics, monitoring and support cross platforms. + External client engagement with Healthcare professionals. + Overall IT support for the strategic Capabilities and solutions & services business. + Strong people management skillset to develop future technology leaders. + Develop innovation framework to help drive local innovation but with global and regional alignment cross the border. + Build and inventory/ecosystem including local, regional and global, as well as franchise specific platforms or capabilities to help build the global strategy. + Help build a functional framework for all global products accessing the regional markets to accelerate digital product launches ie Country specifics (eg tools, policies and procedures for all legal, regulatory and health care compliance policies, etc.). + Long-term business planning strategy for HMD EMEA to ensure long-term investments in core platforms. + Craft and prioritize the future of the J&J MD EMEA portfolio through development of L&A and partnership opportunities, Build internal and external strategic IT partnerships + Understand/share high interest in the space of digital surgery, robotics and help define resourcing, skills and future digital ecosystem in region. + Help shape the implementation models of digital assets to the region, countries. + Drive efficiency and effectiveness through infrastructure optimization. + Understand and use enterprise IT capabilities Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or business administration. + +10yrs experience leading an IT organization + 5yrs minimum in Application development & People management experience. + Provides creative and innovative leadership while collaborating with business leaders on how information technology can improve existing capabilities and generate new opportunities. + Leadership skillset to continue to build a diverse, motivated team now and in the future. + Deep understanding of business drivers/processes and ability to relate priorities to associated technology investments. + Able to Influence and communicate for impact across multiple levels of an organization (local, regional, global, franchise). + Knowledge of technology trends (e.g., digital, big data, blockchain, IOT) and demonstrated ability to translate these technology trends in successful initiatives within a local and regional context + Knowledge of application development with focus on digital capabilities in the areas of sales enablement, hospital and patient enablement and professional education. + Knowledge of implementation models to implement/deploy digital assets in local markets + Knowledge of SAFE (scaled agile framework) principles, agile way of working + Knowledge of customer experience models (like design thinking, usability simations…) + Active participant of a business leadership team + Business experience with a good understanding about the similarities and differences of doing business in the different EMEA markets + Ability to influence others that are not in your direct control + Ability to balance the need for standardization and enterprise thinking with the specific needs and challenges in the markets + Previous experience driving technology strategy for a line of business + Able to synthesize leadership and partners inputs into decisions, + Can translate business process needs into IT solutions + Connect with external technology providers + Proven track record working across a cultural diverse environment Travel: upto 25% What’s in it for you…? “Caring for the world, one person at a time…” As an employee, we consider you as our most valuable asset.
