Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Title:** Small Engine Operative **Salary:** £13.29 per hour **Location:** Shrewsbury **Benefits:** + 25 days annual leave + 4% bonus + Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee´s contribution Up to 10% + Contributory share scheme- Caterpillar will matched 50% of the employee´s contribution. + CAT Flexible Benefits (contains amongst other benefits, the option to purchase private healthcare, dental care and extra annual leave. **Flexible working arrangements will be considered for this role, in-line with the needs of the business.** **Relocation:** Not supported for this role. **Job Opportunity:** As a small engine operative, you may be working on both new and remanufactured products for both British and international customers. You will be building engines from bare castings and individual components into a finished product down a production flow line spread across 6 stages. You will have the opportunity to expand your experience and knowledge of the product line with both in-house and formal training. **Job Responsibilities and Duties:** + The inspection and vet of various engine components + The use of gauges and measuring equipment. + Prepare sub-assemblies for main build. + Perform full engine main build for new and reman products once training has been completed. + Use a desktop computer to set up ECM programmes within an engine. + Diagnose problems and apply corrective actions. + When required support hot test to rectify issues within the test cell. + Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action. + Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives. + Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action. **Skills and Experience:** Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: + Modern apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent experience. + Experience of automotive work or mechanical engineering. + Ability to work as part of a team. + The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures, and work instructions. Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: + A knowledge of Caterpillar Production Systems. + Basic use of Microsoft applications. + Attention to detail to meet quality standards. **NB.
